Uniting the world through judo: 197 countries, countless dojos, one mission to inspire and connect.

Where It All Began
The dream of The Judo Nomad Project started with a simple idea: to connect the world through judo. My journey began in France, where I trained within the country’s prestigious judo system, at the Pole Espoir and later at INSEP. These formative years shaped my love for the sport, but life had other plans.
After living 3 years in Japan, completing my Master’s degree in Sport and High-Level Performance, I realized my competitive career was coming to an end. Instead of stepping away from the mat, I decided to reimagine my role in judo. Inspired by my passion for travel and the lessons learned from the global judo community, The Judo Nomad Project was born.
The Mission
At its core, this project is about more than just teaching judo—it’s about building bridges. I aim to:
- Connect dojos, federations, and practitioners worldwide into a unified global family.
- Share the values of judo: respect, perseverance, and unity.
- Inspire communities by going everywhere in the world, showing the black belt is like a passeport
By visiting every country in the world, my hope is to spark collaborations, foster friendships, and show that judo is not just a sport—it’s a way of life.
The Journey So Far
Since 2021, I’ve traveled to 43 countries, taught in hundreds of dojos, and connected with thousands of judokas. Along the way, I’ve participated at Paris 2024 Olympic Games with Vanuatu as a coach and collaborate with Indonesia and Fiji.
Highlights include:
- Went teaching in the most remote places, to refugees, helped judo player runaway from war…
- Building lasting friendships with judokas in many countries.
- Hosting seminars in world-class dojos across Uzbekistan or Georgia.
Every step of this journey is powered by the generosity of the judo community—people like you who open their homes, dojos, and hearts to support this mission.
How the Project Works
- Teaching for Free: Wherever I go, I teach judo without asking for payment. This is my way of giving back to the community.
- Supported by the Community: The project is possible thanks to monthly small donations by followers, logistical help, and the kindness of hosts who provide accommodation and meals. I also rely on sponsors like IJF.
- Minimal Flights: Staying true to my commitment to sustainability, I travel overland and by sea whenever possible, creating a deeper connection with the places I visit.
